Highlights: History, Adventure and Nature

Kuching is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It was a country ruled by a family of English Rajs from 1841 to 1941 as opposed to the rest of the region being run as a commercial concern by the British East India Company. Kuching is a great destination as it has:

  • National parks and wildlife conservation centres with orang utans, several species of monkey, amphibians, and flora.

  • The Fairy Cave areas – with its great cave, abseiling and rock climbing walls.

  • It is a ‘user-friendly’ city that is interesting to roam around with its historical architecture, multi-cultural heritage, photogenic cityscapes, museums and more.

  • Kuching’s culinary delights are so special to the extent that Anthony Bourdain has repeatedly sang the praise of its’ own variety of Laksa.
